From the Chief
It is the sworn duty of the Chicago Heights Fire Department to protect the lives and property of all citizens of Chicago Heights. As Fire Chief, I pledge to uphold the great tradition of the Fire Department by continuing to provide excellent fire protection and emergency medical services to the citizens of Chicago Heights. It is my goal as Fire Chief of the Chicago Heights Fire Department, through Fire Prevention, Training, Education and Public Awareness to reduce the number of fires, fire related casualties in the Chicago Heights community.

When Daylight Saving Time begins and we "Spring Ahead", remember to also change the batteries in your smoke alarms and carbon monoxide detectors.

The City of Chicago Heights Fire Department is committed to providing the highest level of public safety services for our community. We protect lives and property through fire suppression, emergency medical and transportation services, disaster management, fire prevention, and public education.
Department Services
For over 122 years, the Chicago Heights Fire Department has been providing the residents of our community the highest standard in fire and emergency services. In addition to fire protection, the department also administers the City’s Emergency Medical Service and Emergency Management Agency.
