Ultra Foods in Chicago Heights celebrated a grand re-opening after an extensive remodeling project that not only drastically changed its layout but added new food options for customers.Among Ultra’s new food options are freshly prepared entrees, a sushi bar, a salad and hot soup bar, a new Produce and Floral department, expanded full-service bakery and gourmet cake case, as well as an expanded fresh fruit and vegetable section.Ultra Foods Vice President David Negron said that the remodeling came as the result of feedback from Chicago Heights residents desiring an improved shopping experience.“We’ve lowered thousands of prices in all of our Ultra Foods stores on items that shoppers buy most,” said Negron. “But we heard from the Chicago Heights community and knew that we needed to do more here. We’ve listened and have made the investment in providing a better overall shopping experience for our customers. We’re excited about the new look, the new fresh offerings and the renewed commitment to customer service and can’t wait to share our new store with the community.”As part of the grand re-opening event, Ultra donated $500 each to three local organizations: the Bloom Township High School Music Program, the Bloom Township Food Pantry and the Chicago Heights Lions Club.
Throughout the month shoppers will be able to sample dozens of new food items and learn more about the expanded selection of products. The store will also be giving away more than 100 daily and weekly prizes until Tuesday, June 28th, including barbecue grills, catered meals, autographed memorabilia, RX gift cards, floral arrangements and a grand prize of $1,000 Ultra Fresh Foods Gift Card.Ultra Foods is located at 571 W. 14th Street in Chicago Heights.
