New at the Festival of Sister Cities

In just over 3 weeks, the city will celebrate our diverse cultural heritage with the Festival of Sister Cities. Chicago Heights boasts a number of new attractions, including a bike show and a Kool & the Gang tribute band on Saturday, September 10^th. We look forward to seeing you there!

The City Hosts Industrial Roundtable Event at Prairie State College

Last month, Jack Hynes, City of Chicago Heights Economic Development, hosted an Industrial Roundtable Event at Prairie State College. The meeting centered on engaging local businesses and making them aware of the economic opportunities available. Seventeen businesses participated and received information and resources that will assist their efforts to expand and create employment opportunities for residents. The City will host another roundtable event in late fall or early winter 2016.

On Saturday, August 20, 2016, a benefit is being held for the Romero family, victims of the tragic car accident that occurred on Sunday August 14, 2016. The event will take place at Chicago Heights City Hall, 1601 Chicago Road from Noon-4:00 PM on Saturday.

"El Show del Gallo Goyo" from Univision America will be broadcasting live during the benefit from City Hall, and there will be food vendors and other volunteer vendors at the event. All proceeds from the benefit will be designated for the Romero family. Please take a few moments and join us Saturday, August 20^th in support of the Romero family.
