Sarff Field Featured on ABC-7 September 14th!

Every fall, ABC visits a different Chicagoland high school early Friday mornings during football season and incorporates the school and surrounding community into their morning news broadcast. This week, the ABC-7 Friday morning flyover will feature Bloom Township High School District 206's Sarff Field in Chicago Heights.

This event will begin very early in the morning in order for the footage to be ready for the morning news! Residents in the vicinity should be prepared for some of the excitement associated with the visit! Starting at 5:00 am, the news station will fly over Sarff Field throughout the morning. The marching band, ROTC, and fall sports teams will be on the ground performing as school leaders are interviewed.

This will be the first time Bloom's dazzling new blue football field, which is the only non-green woven turf high school football field in the country, will be on display to a Chicagoland television audience.
"That's also thanks to Mayor Gonzalez and the city of Chicago Heights," Bloom Athletic Director Joe Reda said. "Without the support from the mayor or the city, I don't think we would have been able to pull this off."
