Throughout the years, Chicago Heights has been defined by the rich cultural heritage of the immigrants who made their homes here. In celebrating the diversity and rich traditions of the city's population, the City of Chicago Heights established four (4) Sister City relationships through Sister Cities International, adopting the cities of San Benedetto del Tronto, Italy; Wadowice, Poland; Cedral, Mexico; and the Asuogyaman District Assembly of Ghana, West Africa.
Join us as we celebrate these wonderful sister cities and the rich cultural heritages and diversity we embrace. The 6th Annual Festival of Sister Cities is scheduled for Saturday, September 9th through Sunday, September 10th. The festival will include an array of ethnic food, crafts and live entertainment, and most importantly, an opportunity to celebrate with one another.
Please join us at the festival as we celebrate our Sister Cities, our communities and our cultures.
