Dear Residents,

Community matters. These words provide the framework that guides my administration in serving you and achieving goals for our community - the City of Chicago Heights.

I am pleased to share the progress we have made over the past year as we continue to implement strategies to deliver efficient operations. During the past year, the City Departments responded to over 4,166 resident requests for services; we saw 9 major commercial and industrial expansions, and completed over 5,000 lineal feet of sewer and storm repairs to our infrastructure. The Police and Fire Departments added equipment and apparatus for emergency response; the Public Works Department added new technology and materials to enhance snow command, pothole repairs and graffiti removal in maintaining over 120 miles of streets and alleys.

The City has launched our new website, creating new opportunities, online tools and streamlined options for communicating with our departments and utilizing city services. The website is user friendly and offers state-of-the-art solutions to share information with you on a timely basis. In addition to the new website, we are introducing new technology and software programs to ensure departments are communicating with one another and providing consistent and efficient daily operations.

We are making progress and implementing change in every department. I remain committed to serving you with purpose and action to deliver the positive changes that are moving the City of Chicago Heights forward.
