Mayor David A. Gonzalez welcomed the Bloom HS “Pedal” Pushers NJROTC STEM Cadet Girls eSports iRacing Team to City Hall to congratulate them for their season of excellence. These six cadets spent their summer touring Illinois to raise awareness of the importance of girls in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math), eSports and iRacing. The team was recognized for their achievements and hard work, and were recipients of a STEM scholarship from ‘Math with EEEs’, in addition to numerous other prizes and awards. The team presented Mayor Gonzalez with several mementos from their participation in various competitions, while Mayor Gonzalez presented each member of the team with a letter of achievement acknowledging their accomplishments.

Congratulations to these young women and future leaders who provide a tremendous example of learning to compete at the highest level while celebrating the joy of the challenge!
